Outcome 4.1 · For Managers · Free with profile

Why is my team underperforming?

Team diagnostic that names the specific capability dimensions dragging performance down. Each member takes a focused 20-minute assessment. The engine returns per-member dimensional profiles, a team-level aggregation with gap analysis, the 2-3 highest-leverage development areas, and evidence-linked recommendations. Not a survey. Not a personality test. A dimensional X-ray of your team's actual capability surface.

What you get back

A dimensional map of where your team is actually weak

Not engagement scores. Not self-reported satisfaction. Calibrated dimensional profiles for every member, aggregated into a team-level surface that shows exactly which capabilities are dragging and by how much.

Highest-leverage gaps identified
Gap #1 — Highest leverage
Systems Thinking
66.1 / team avg
4 of 8 members below 65. Cross-service architecture decisions bottleneck at 2 senior engineers. Concentration risk is high.
Gap #2 — High leverage
Adaptability
68.8 / team avg
3 members below 65. Requirement changes cause disproportionate rework. The team defaults to known patterns even when context shifts.
Leverage analysis: Investing in systems thinking for the 4 sub-65 members would raise team aggregate from 66.1 to an estimated 74.3 — a larger performance gain than any hire at current headcount. Recommended: structured architecture review pairing between Vasquez/Okonkwo and the four identified members, 2 hours/week for 8 weeks. Projected re-assessment gain: +8.2 points on systems dimension.

Actual output is interactive — drill into any member's dimensional profile, filter by seniority band, compare against industry benchmarks, and export to PDF or structured JSON.

How it works

Four steps from roster to diagnosis

You create the roster. Your team members each take a focused 20-minute assessment. The engine does the rest. No surveys to design, no consultants to schedule, no six-week wait for results.

1
Manager creates roster

Add 3-15 team members by name and email. Optionally tag roles, seniority bands, and sub-teams for richer aggregation. Takes under 5 minutes.

Time: 3-5 min
2
Members take focused assessment

Each member receives a unique link to a 20-minute adaptive assessment. Items calibrate in real-time using multi-dimensional adaptive measurement — no two members see the same sequence. Completion tracked on your dashboard.

Time: ~20 min per member
3
Engine runs cross-member analysis

Individual profiles are calibrated, then correlated across the team surface. The engine identifies dimensional gaps, concentration risks, and the specific capability bottlenecks constraining team output.

Time: ~90 seconds (automated)

Methodology

How the measurement actually works

This is not a survey instrument. It is a multi-dimensional adaptive measurement engine that calibrates each member on shared dimensional scales, then runs cross-member correlation analysis to surface team-level patterns invisible in individual profiles.

Measurement model
Adaptive

Multi-dimensional adaptive measurement with proprietary calibration models. Each item measures 1-3 latent dimensions simultaneously. Adaptive item selection maximizes information gain per minute of member time.

Dimensional calibration
47

Items per member, drawn from a calibrated bank of 2,400+. Each member's sequence is unique, but all profiles are expressed on the same latent scale — making cross-member comparison statistically valid, not just visually convenient.

Team-level analysis
rij

Cross-member correlation matrices identify dimensional clustering and gaps. When 4 of 8 members share a weakness, the engine flags it as a team-structural bottleneck — not 4 individual development plans.

Gap detection
IQR

Interquartile range analysis across each dimension. Gaps are flagged when the team median falls below the role-demand threshold and dispersion is high — meaning the weakness is pervasive, not a single outlier.

Leverage ranking
E[Δ]

Expected team-aggregate gain per development dollar. Gaps are ranked by how much the team-level surface would improve if the weakest members on that dimension reached the team median. Not all gaps are equal.

Privacy model
k-anon

Individual profiles are visible only to the member and the requesting manager. Team aggregates suppress any dimension where n < 3 to prevent re-identification. Members can revoke manager access at any time.

What this outcome cannot tell you

Honest about scope

Every measurement has boundaries. We name ours explicitly so you know where the evidence stops and your judgment begins.
